Our Annual Trip to Maine

This year, our Annual trip to Maine was Caleb's 2nd trip, but his first time ever on an airplane! He actually did pretty well. He's so busy, it was hard to keep him occupied the whole time, by Grammie was with us so that definitely helped!

Caleb and I started the trip staying at Aunt Betty's house for a night, and then the following day Grammie Peggy took us up to the Cabin on the water to meet up with Daddy. He spent the week there working on a much-neede clean up so that now we can start to fix it up. (It's been in the family since the 1930's I think)!

Caleb loved hanging out at the camp, although it was a little challenging to keep him occupied b/c he couldn't really crawl around outside since it's mostly dirt & pinestraw (no grass) down to the water. Speaking of the water (which Caleb loves), he had his first swimming experience in the lake, but the water was really cold since they've had so much rain. He lasted for about 30 minutes & then wouldn't ever go back in. It worked out though because he loved playing on the dock while we all hung out.

We left the cabin a day before heading home to spend some time with Aunt Betty. We stopped by a popular lobster shop where she works on Sunday's, and Caleb had his first lobster experience. He LOVED them & kept grabbing and touching it. Then he realized there were water tanks with the lobsters in them & practically tried to jump in! After "petting" the lobsters, we had some lunch of yummy lobster and crab rolls - YUMMY! Caleb had a blast playing & eating as we ate.

We also made a stop to see Great Grammie Helmi & bring her a yummy lobster roll as well. Caleb had his picture with her when he was 8 weeks old, so we had to do another pic, because we don't know when we'll get to see her again.

After the visit, we headed back to Aunt Betty's and she made us an awesome lobster dinner! AMAZING! Caleb also got to play with his cousin Kylee (Chris' daughter) and we hung out with Aunt Tayna which was really nice.

All in all the trip was great to visit family. Mommy was a little exhausted after keeping up with Caleb all week in other people's houses, but we managed. I definitely needed a vacation from my vacation! ;)
