Happy 2010!

Happy New Year!!! We rang in the new year from the West Coast... so we celebrated at 9pm for everyone back home & then again at midnight in LA. My dad was gracious enough to fly our whole family, including my grandfather & his wife out to LA for a couple days to attend the Rose Bowl! We had an amazing time!!!

We left Atlanta on NYE...Caleb LOVED the airport & watching the airplanes. He actually did really well on the flight. He slept for about an hour & then bounced around to everyone in the family. It was nice to have so many hands to help keep him occupied for the 4+ hour flight. Once we got there we all headed to a local favorite Mexican restaurant of Shelley & Ryans. My parents took Caleb back to their hotel & then we hit some bars at Venice Beach. We had a great time, but behaved, because we were out the door at 9am the next morning - headed to Pasadena to cheer on our Buckeyes!

The Rose Bowl was a blast! Not just because we won (GO BUCKS!) but it's such a beautiful place! The weather was also unreal - mid 80s!!!
Saturday we had another busy agenda to get in as much as we could before we headed back home on Sunday. We walked to a local donut shop by Shelley & Ryans house for breakfast, then headed to Santa Monica to check out the gym Shelley works at (for little kids). It was closed for the holidays so we had the place to ourselves. Caleb was in love with all of the jumping, climbing, sliding, swinging, etc. And he's not the only one who had fun... I think the "big kids" enjoyed it too! We then hit the iconic Santa Monica Pier and met Ryan's parents and sister for lunch. Caleb loved the entertainment & the rest of us were just pumped to have such great weather! After lunch we made a quick lap up & down the crazy Venice Beach... that has to be the best place in the world for people watching!

Sunday was early to the airport & home so we could get back to work on Monday. Such a harsh reality, but we had so much fun while the vacation lasted!

Now we start fresh with clean calendars & ready to see what great things 2010 have in store for us! Happy New Year & many blessings to you all!~
