A Firetruck 3rd Birthday Celebration!

Caleb's 3rd Birthday party was a success! He was so excited about having a firetruck here & all of the festivites that followed. Some friends of ours own & restored an old firetruck & now rent it out for parties & events. The fireman came inside first & did a little fire safety class for all of the kids, which was really cute, and then he got into his big suit & showed the kids not to be scared of him if he's in their house. Caleb was his little helper & got into his suit too! It was too cute.
From there, the kids all headed outside & took turns taking rides & blowing the horn. It was quite a hit (even though it was 100 degrees outside)!
After that the kiddos all ate some pizza for lunch & we sang "happy birthday" to the birthday boy (almost his favorite part)... Caleb couldn't wait to open presents, so we quickly busted a firetruck pinata (another request from the birthday boy) and then finished up the party by opening presents. It's so funny how quickly they learn those things!

Caleb got some really great gifts & is still loving playing with each and every one of them every day.
Monday was his actual birthday & he spent it with just mommy & daddy. It was really nice because we had a crazy week & weekend just before that with lots of family in town. We went to see Toy Story 3 and pretty much took it easy. We sang again that night after dinner & all enjoyed the very yummy left-over birthday cupcakes. I think it was quite a hit with Caleb.
Lastly, we had our 3-year Doctor's checkup today, which went well as usual with Caleb. He's 36lbs. and I think just over 36" tall. Both are 75 - 90th percentiles, so he's a healthy boy!

We're so proud of our little man & can't believe what an amazing 3 years it has been!
