Chirstmas re-cap

Caleb had a great 2nd Christmas! It was really so much fun & he was really into the present thing. He definitely doesn't get the concept of Santa coming, but he knows who Santa is & that he says "Ho Ho Ho"... too cute!

Our tradition is Christmas Eve at John's parents house which also includes his sister & her husband Dave, along with his oldest brother David, his wife Tracy and their 2 boys Steven and Eric, and John's cousin Lindsey. Caleb definitely loves his cousins & it was really fun watching them all open presents together. The 1st thing Caleb opened from his stocking was a ball & he was done. We had to convince him to come back & open the rest of his stocking. He got a lot of really fun toys including a tractor, puzzle, fire engine, drum, plus much more, but the grand finale was a spiderman 4-wheeler. He really likes it & has a pretty good grasp on sitting on it and pushing the button to make it go...but he still doesn't get that he has to steer it...we have to pull it away from the couch & turn him around everytime!

Christmas morning at our house was so exciting. I went up and got Caleb from his bed when he woke up & tried to hide his view of the family room to get him into our bedroom. Once he had his morning milk I got the video camera & recorded his reaction as John walked him in. It was priceless! Of course the first thing he saw was his basketball hoop & ball... once again he was done. Had no interest in anything else & all he wanted to do was play "baball". I really didn't take many pictures b/c we videoed it, but my favorite is him in his "momo" slippers above... although that really freaked him out!

After our family Christmas we headed up to my parents house for our annual big breakfast. Caleb chowed down on some blueberries and bacon while we all ate a more balanced meal (mr. pickie). From there we did our family Christmas where Caleb got loaded up again. One of his favorites was a Ohio State football that plays the fight song. He laughed like crazy! While Caleb took a much-needed nap, we played a family game of Partini, which was VERY funny! I don't know why I didn't take pictures! It's a great game! Once the center of attention was awake, we all headed outside...it was so beautiful & we all needed some fresh air. Aunt Shelley got Caleb a really cool bubble maker so he was in heaven. After a few beverages we all decided it was time for a family-friendly rivalry on a par 3 of the golf course. Plus we all needed some exercise from all the food & alcohol we had already, and continued to consume! We topped off the night with our annual crab leg dinner....YUMMY!
