Happy Halloween!

Caleb had a festive October leading up to his 2nd Halloween. We started it off with our annual trip to Burt's Pumpkin Farm. We went on a Sunday morning hoping to beat the crowd, but boy were we wrong! That place was packed & Caleb was overwhelmed with all the pumpkins. We went with John's family, including our nephews, as well as my mom. Caleb enjoyed pretending to drive the huge tractor & after quite a long line, we made it on the hayride which Caleb loved so we were happy we did it. I got some good shots of his crazy facial expressions when we stopped during the ride to listen to the talking pumpkins... I don't think he knew what to do!

This past week, we got together with our friends the Hodges and Tremonti's and their kids for some yummy food & annual pumpkin carving. Caleb helped Daddy start to carve out our pumpkin, and then helped me make the finishing touches on the face. Then it was off to play with Ella, Gracie and Andrew. As always, watching the kids together is so much fun!

Finally Friday was trick-or-treat time! We had a "test run" of the costume around lunchtime for a Keller Williams Halloween party, and Caleb actually did great. I thought for sure he wouldn't be happy about he head piece, but he did well. After about a minute of having it on he was acting like normal. (Here's a quick video) Then around dinner time we left for the Schmeelk house where we had a fun evening of food & trick-or-treating planned with them, the Nixon's and Profeta's. Reese was a lady bug, Pierce was a biker dude, and little baby Braylen was a pumpkin... how cute! The kids in the wagon worked great, until Caleb decided he'd rather PUSH the wagon than ride in it. How much energy can a 15 month old possibly have?!?! We probably made it to about 10 houses & the kids all did a great job picking out candy on their own! We finished up the night back at the Schmeelk's with pizzas and candy!

Just a wild guess, but I have a feeling next year John and I will be chasing Caleb around the entire neighborhood!!!
