What a 3 month old can do...

Caleb turned 3 months old on November 9th! In a way, it seems like that sounds so short because we're so used to life with him in it. It's more amazing than ever now watching him learn new things every day! So besides rolling over (which he did at 11 weeks)... here's some of the other things he's learning...

Sleeping... he still struggles with naps during the day a little bit, but we're lucky enough to have him sleeping about 10 hours a night straight! I'll take that any day! He's close to 11 hours now! And the best part is when he wakes up in the morning he just talks & plays in his crib, rather than cries, so we always get a few laughs in when we hear that he's awake and happy!

Strength...he is such a STRONG boy! We hear that from everyone who holds him! He loves to stand & has such good head control, that we started putting him in his exersaucer! His legs aren't quite long enough, so we put some blankets under him, but he LOVES to just sit and look at everything. Just in the last week, he's really started reaching out towards the toys & trying to grab and play with them, so he's starting to get that hand/eye coordination down. We also started putting him in his bumbo seat. He loves that as well. I actually put him in it on the kitchen counter one night and he watched me make dinner... what a life saver! :)
Chewing...he chews on everything...his hands, our hands, his toys, his blakets, etc.! He just loves putting just about anything in his mouth. I sort of freaked & thought he was teathing already, and he may be, because we can definitely feel them up there, but who really knows how long it will actually take for them to come through.

Happy...besides all of the physical stuff, he's quite the little blabber mouth. He just laughs and chatts all the time! It's so much fun to talk to him and watch him "talk" back. His little happy expressions are PRICELESS! They melt our hearts every time! We find ourselves fighting to be the one to get him out of the crib in the mornings because he gives us the biggest smiles when he sees us walk in the door. It's the best way to start off the day!

TV...Holy cow do we have a TV lover on our hands! We can just be walking past it and he zones right in. He's quite the little football watcher too, which can't be a bad thing! :) John introduced him to Baby Einstein on DVD and he LOVES that. It's amazing the simple things that keep them entertained, but those shows are seriously pretty incredible!

I'm sure there are many other details that I'm missing, but at least this is an idea of how our little blessing is growing and changing constantly. Oh yeah, I headed back to work the 1st of November. It's actually worked out really well for both of us (and Daddy who watches him 2 days a week). We're all doing really well!

XOXO until next time...
